Founded in 2011 by Emily Mayerhoff, Attitude Dance Boutique was born from a passion for dance, a love for community, and years of experience in the retail industry. Located in the heart of College Station, Texas, our boutique is dedicated to providing dancers with top-quality dancewear and accessories that fit beautifully, feel comfortable, and inspire confidence both in the studio and on the stage.

Meet Our Founder

Emily Mayerhoff is the heart behind Attitude Dance Boutique. With a degree in Retail Marketing from Louisiana Tech University, Emily’s professional journey includes roles in retail sales, management, media buying, promotions, advertising, and public relations. Her career path led her from small specialty boutiques and Dallas Market Center showrooms to national retailers such as Lord & Taylor and Half Price Books, where she gained valuable expertise in marketing and operations.

Her knowledge and insight have made her a sought-after voice in the dance retail industry. She has presented seminars at Dancewear Expo trade shows in Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, and Baltimore, and has served as a panelist for Dance Business Weekly conferences. Emily and Attitude Dance Boutique are regularly featured in industry articles covering current trends and retail strategies.

From Mom to Mompreneur

When Emily’s family relocated to Bryan-College Station in 2003 for her husband’s career, her four daughters soon became immersed in the local dance scene. Realizing the need for a full-service dance retail store in the area, Emily channeled her experience and entrepreneurial spirit into creating a boutique that dancers and dance families could rely on.

Community-Centered

Attitude Dance Boutique is more than just a retail store—it’s a community hub. Emily is a proud supporter and volunteer for numerous local organizations including the Junior League of Bryan-College Station, Ballet Brazos, Bryan ISD, Bethel Lutheran Church, and various school booster clubs and PTOs. You’ll often see her cheering on dancers at local performances, competitions, and recitals, where she shows her love and support for the arts and the incredible dancers who make it all possible.

Emily is committed to the Shop Local movement and takes pride in sourcing new, high-quality items tailored to the needs of our customers.

Pointe shoe fittings are required. Proper fittings can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Please schedule via our Calendly booking schedule. You may also call or text the store at 979-703-8894 to schedule your pointe shoe fitting.

Dancers should wear form fitting clothing (no baggy pants or jeans) and CLEAN convertible tights to their fitting - wear what you would wear to ballet class! Please bring your current shoes and padding, if applicable.

For teachers who would like to bring a group of 3 or more students, we ask that you contact us at least 2 weeks prior to your requested fitting date, as we want to be sure that enough staff are available to work exclusively with your students.
